the series I did NOT intend to paint
BiG FEELS
This April, I hit a rough patch.
Seasonal depression was lingering, and I’d just received a string of rejections from art shows.
I was feeling down and bought myself some tulips as a reminder that spring is coming.
And on a whim, I started painting them. I couldn’t stop. It felt so soothing and loving to just sit with myself, big feels and all, and paint flowers.
This is what came.

These paintings straddle grief and joy, heartache and hope.
They’re spells for reclaiming the vulnerable and tender parts of ourselves with more presence and love.
They belong in corners of your home you pass by frequently, something to bring even more vibrancy and warmth into your space.
